Lately, I’ve been struggling to find time to sit down alone with myself, my Bible, and Jesus. It should be my priority, but for some reason, I have been pushing it off. It’s not that I don’t want to spend time with Him, it’s just that I have been carried away and focused on things at work and in my personal life. What I have come to realize at this stage is that I need him more than ever! My career requires me to build relationships, which I LOVE, but I have noticed my joy fading. It isn’t like anything has changed at work or my love for what I do, I just realized that I was giving so much to others that I needed to be filled up as well.

Something that I have been telling myself over and over lately is to STAY THE COURSE. To keep working hard, persevering, and staying on the course that the Lord has for me. His plan is better than anything I have planned for myself or Jason, and I need to continue to be filled up by Him DAILY. I can’t do it on my own and you can’t either.

The same can be for your fitness journey. You go through seasons of your fitness journey where you are killing it, and you also have seasons where you can barely make it to the gym. You need to continue to tell yourself to STAY THE COURSE! Focus on what is good and know things will always turn around, as long as you are mentally STAYING THE COURSE and trying to improve each day.

Here below are ways that will help me STAY THE COURSE with Jesus (it can be the same for your fitness journey):

  1. Make it a Priority Daily
  2. Find Inspiration, Every Day
  3. Build Yourself Up
  4. Find Others to Do Life With

You’re blessed when you stay on course, walking steadily on the road revealed by God. You’re blessed when you follow his directions, doing your best to find him. That’s right – you don’t go off on your own; you walk straight along the road He set.”

Psalm 119:1-3
