Newport Beach Restaurant Week starts tomorrow, January 14th and will run through January 27th. This 14-day dining event is a great opportunity for you to try something new while also returning to some of your favorites in Newport Beach.
The event showcases Newport Beach as Orange County’s premier dining destination offering diners a wide variety of culinary experiences. Participating restaurants offer special prix-fixe menus with lunches available for just $10, $15, $20, or $25, and dinners for $20, $30, $40 or $50.
Not going to lie, getting restaurants signed up for NBRW took a lot of work and organization. I had to make sure I was communicating with all the restaurants (chefs, general managers, marketing, etc.), while also organizing our partnerships with Open Table, Yelp, and LOCALE Magazine. I am SO happy and proud to say that this a record-breaking year for Newport Beach with 70 restaurants signed up for NBRW and 14 restaurants participating for their first time! Be sure to visit our website HERE to view menus and to make your reservations.
I love what I do and all the amazing people I get to work with here in Newport Beach. We live in an amazing place and I can’t thank God enough for the amazing opportunities I have each week. Sometimes I wonder why God chose me for this position, but I have learned to trust Him and give it my all each day. He has given me these gifts and all I can do is shine and be Melissa.
Read one of my favorite quotes below. It really hits home for me!
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?’ Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”―
Typical Melissa look, lol!
